Osteopathy represents a holistic alternative form of therapy. The osteopath looks at the body of animals and humans in their entirety - a healthy body moves harmoniously, the muscles and bones work well together. If this interplay is disturbed, the osteopath recognizes movement restrictions - which disturbs the life energy flowing through the body. For example, Andrew Still, the founder of osteopathy, states: "Life is movement, where movement is disturbed, disease begins".
Craniosacral therapy is a special osteopathic examination and treatment method.
The craniosacral system includes cranium, central and peripheral nervous system with brain, spinal cord and nerves, cerebral and spinal fluid as well as connective tissue and sacrum. The skull bones are movably interconnected. The head in turn is connected by the spinal cord with the sacrum, so that movements like a cable system from the skull area
be transferred to the sacrum area and vice versa.
The Craniosakraltherapie therefore helps with blockages in the Spine and in the sacroiliac joint, the pain and lameness cause.
