For us humans, physiotherapy is an established support for medical treatment. Physiotherapy for animals, as well as for humans, is used for pain relief, rehabilitation and prevention. Due to the success achieved, physiotherapy has been an established form of therapy for many years in countries such as the USA, Great Britain and Germany.
The services are used for:
- Pain Relief
- muscle relaxation
- muscle building
- Avoidance of consequential damage through restraint
- Maintaining / restoring mobility
- return to healthy movements
- Improve coordination, stamina and performance
- Optimization of healing processes (pre- and postoperative treatment)
- Scar Treatments
The emphasis is on pain relief, since freedom from pain for four-legged friends - just like for us humans - means an improved quality of life and more joy of life.
IMPORTANT:
For each physiotherapeutic treatment you need a referral from the responsible veterinarian. Animal physiotherapy does not replace veterinary treatment and diagnosis. However, it is an effective support to veterinary therapy.
